Search

Search looks across your whole garden at once. Open it from the magnifying-glass button in the header, or press ⌘K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows) from anywhere in the app. Start typing and matches appear grouped by kind.

What it searches

One query checks all of these in the current garden, and the catalog:

• Plantings — by variety name and status.
• Assets — by name and type (typing “grow” finds your grow bags).
• Tasks — by title, type, status, and priority.
• Observations — by note text and type.
• Harvests — by note and price source.
• Varieties — the seed catalog, by common and scientific name.

Results are grouped, with your garden’s own records first and the variety catalog last. Each group shows the top few matches; refine the words to narrow them.

Getting around the results

• Type to filter; results update as you go.
• Up/Down arrows move through the matches, Enter opens the highlighted one.
• Click any result to jump straight to its detail page.
• Esc closes the search, and so does clicking outside it.

Search only covers the garden you’re currently in, so it never mixes results across gardens. Switch gardens first if you’re looking somewhere else.
