How we handle your data.

Who we are
Evengrow is operated by Marco De Leonardis, United States, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
- Account: your email address and display name.
- Garden records: beds and other assets, plantings, tasks, observations, harvests and photos you add.
- Captures and chat transcripts: the notes you dictate or type and the questions you ask.
- Location: the coordinates and place name you set for a garden.
- Sensor readings from devices you connect.
- Billing state from our payment provider, Polar. We never see or store card numbers.
- Analytics events: page views and named product events, described under Cookies below.
How we use it
To run the product: to store your garden, plan your work and show you what is coming.
AI processing: your note and the names of your beds, plantings, and garden location are sent to Anthropic's API to be parsed. Anthropic does not train on API data and retains it for up to 30 days.
Improvement: only de-identified mappings, like a crop nickname to its catalog variety, are shared. Free plans contribute; paid plans can opt out in Preferences.

Retention
Raw capture transcripts and AI inputs are kept for 12 months, then purged. A deleted garden is recoverable for 30 days, then purged with its photos. A deleted account is removed immediately.
Your rights
- Export: "Download my data" in Preferences gives you a JSON copy of your account, free.
- Delete: "Delete my account" in Preferences removes your account and its data.
- Correction and objection: you can correct any record in the app, or ask us.
To exercise any right you cannot complete in the app, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies and analytics
We set functional cookies only: sign-in, your preferences and, once you choose, a cookie that remembers your analytics choice ("granted" or "denied"). We use PostHog for product analytics. In the EU, EEA and UK, and wherever we cannot tell where you are, product analytics runs only after you opt in, both in the app and on our servers; IP addresses are discarded and there is no session recording. You can change your choice at any time from the consent control in the footer.
We also send security signals (a burst of blocked requests, a failed admin sign-in) and error reports without asking, because we need them to protect the service (legitimate interest). They carry no IP address. Where a repeat source has to be recognized, we send a keyed hash that cannot be turned back into an address.
When you delete your account we also ask PostHog to delete the person record and events tied to your account id.
Age
You must be 16 or older to use Evengrow.
